Napoli Weighs Alternatives as Union SG Holds Firm on Khalaily Fee
Napoli is still pursuing Israeli winger Anan Khalaily, but according to an Italian report the club is also examining other options because Union Saint-Gilloise is sticking to its asking price of 25 million euros. One of those alternatives is Brooke Norton-Cuffy, who spent the past two seasons at Genoa, in addition to Dudu, whom Napoli had already been linked with.
The report said Napoli has followed the 21-year-old Khalaily for a long time, but the Belgian club is demanding too much for him. It added that the Italian side should now also keep an eye on Norton-Cuffy as it looks for a possible substitute target.
Napoli and Khalaily have already reached an agreement on personal terms if the clubs can settle on a transfer fee. Under that deal, the Israeli player would earn 1.3 million euros per season plus bonuses, on a contract running until 2031.
For now, Napoli is said to be willing to pay 18 million euros, well below Union Saint-Gilloise’s demand. Khalaily’s future remains unresolved as the clubs continue their standoff.
