Palestinian Man Shot After Threatening Benjamin Resident With Stone, Police Say
A 29-year-old Palestinian man was moderately wounded after allegedly trying to attack a resident of a farm in the Benjamin area, police said. According to an initial police investigation, he was mentally ill and arrived at the farm carrying a large stone.
Police said the man began behaving violently, then threatened the farm resident and tried to strike him with the stone. Feeling threatened, the civilian fired his personal weapon and wounded the man.
The injured man was evacuated for medical treatment before security forces arrived. He is expected to later be handed over for questioning by security authorities.
