A Palestinian man was neutralized Wednesday morning at a farm in the Benjamin Brigade area after he reportedly tried to attack a local resident with a large stone. According to police, the resident, who felt threatened, fired his personal weapon and stopped the assailant.

The suspect was wounded moderately and evacuated for medical treatment before security forces arrived. Police said the farm owners had earlier reported that a Palestinian came to the site holding a stone and attempted to harm one of the residents.

Benjamin District police from the Samaria region, together with IDF soldiers, were dispatched to the scene and began investigating the circumstances. Officers and soldiers collected evidence and testimony from those involved.

An initial security inquiry found that the suspect had arrived armed in advance with the stone, began acting suspiciously and aggressively, and then threatened a resident who approached to ask what he was doing. When the man tried to strike with the stone, the resident fired and neutralized the danger. Police said the suspect will later be transferred for questioning by security forces, and the investigation continues. The incident comes amid a recent series of attacks and provocations in the Benjamin area and broader West Bank, including a reported ninth poisonings incident in two years involving nearly 10 water wells in grazing land in the Benjamin Brigade.
