Maccabi Tel Aviv secured their progression to the third qualifying round of the UEFA Europa League by defeating Sheriff Tiraspol 1-0 in the second leg on Thursday in Batumi. After a commanding 5-0 victory in the first leg, Maccabi only needed one goal, scored by Roy Revivo in the 29th minute, to complete the aggregate win. Meanwhile, Hapoel Tel Aviv caused a major upset by drawing 2-2 in their second leg against a top Bulgarian team, following a significant win in the first leg. This result allowed Hapoel to advance to the third qualifying round of the UEFA Conference League, marking their first European appearance in 12 years. They will next face the winner between Slovakian club Žilina and Polish side Katowice.
