Beitar Jerusalem Holds 0-0 Draw With AEK Larnaca in Conference League Return Leg

Beitar Jerusalem aims to maintain their 1-0 advantage from the first leg against AEK Larnaca as they face off in the second leg of the UEFA Conference League qualifiers on Thursday in Ploiești, Romania. The Israeli club made history last week by becoming the first Israeli team to win on Cypriot soil. Coach Almog Cohen included Yarden Shua, who had been unwell and not training recently, in the squad, though his participation remains uncertain. Jonathas Calu replaced Shua in the forward line, with captaincy passing to Omer Atzili. Shon Weissman started up front instead of Eugene Ansah. Luka Gadrani and Tomer Yosefi traveled with the team but are not expected to play.

Around 3,000 Beitar fans traveled to Romania to support the team. On the AEK Larnaca side, Enrique Saborit returned from suspension, and Yahav Gurfinkel started at left back after coming on as a substitute last week. Should Beitar advance, they will face the winner of the tie between Latvia's Liepāja and Austria Vienna, with Austria Vienna holding a 2-0 lead from the first leg.
