Samsung Galaxy users have reported a frustrating issue with the Edge Panel, a popular side panel feature that provides quick access to apps, contacts, and weather via swipe gestures. The problem, confirmed by Samsung, stems from a bug in the One Hand Operation Plus add-on, part of Samsung's Good Lock suite. This add-on, which allows users to customize swipe gestures for actions like turning on the flashlight or opening quick settings, mistakenly misidentifies the touch area of the Edge Panel on the home screen, rendering the panel unresponsive to swipe gestures.

Samsung has acknowledged the bug and promised an official fix in an upcoming update but has not provided a specific timeline for its release. Meanwhile, users can apply temporary workarounds to restore functionality. One method involves rotating the device to landscape or portrait mode within an app that supports screen rotation and then returning to the home screen. Another more stable solution is to adjust the gesture area size within the One Hand Operation Plus settings to avoid overlap with the Edge Panel's touch zone. If these do not help, users can disable the One Hand Operation Plus add-on entirely until the fix is available, though this means losing the add-on's features.

These interim solutions allow users to regain access to the Edge Panel despite the ongoing issue caused by the add-on bug. Samsung continues to work on a permanent update to resolve the conflict between these two features.
