Barcelona's Perrin Praises Israeli Midfielder Goren Ahead of Preseason Match

Barcelona continues its preparations for the upcoming season with a friendly match scheduled against Nottingham Forest on Friday. Ahead of the game, Barcelona star Perrin Lopes highlighted two standout players from the preseason camp who impressed him the most: 16-year-old forward Ibrahim Tonkara and Israeli midfielder Oriane Goren. "They are very good," Lopes said, adding that these two players surprised him.

Lopes himself has been sidelined due to injury and missed Spain's World Cup squad. Reflecting on his difficult summer, he described it as "the worst summer so far," noting he was at the peak of his career before the injury. He admitted it was initially hard for him to watch World Cup matches. Lopes has not yet returned to play but remains hopeful about participating in the Joan Gamper Trophy match against Al Ahly on August 19, provided his recovery progresses well.

For the upcoming friendly against Nottingham Forest, Lopes is unlikely to see playing time. In the first preseason match, Marc Casado and Marc Bernal started together in midfield, while Goren is expected to receive significant minutes off the bench. Barcelona's preseason continues as the club evaluates its squad ahead of the new La Liga season.
