Teva Reports Strong Q2 Revenue, Raises Full-Year Forecast for Branded Drugs
Teva Pharmaceutical Industries reported positive financial results for the second quarter, surpassing revenue expectations despite slightly missing net income per share estimates. The company's revenue reached $4.1 billion, driven by a 43% increase in branded drug sales compared to the same period in 2025, marking the first time these revenues exceeded $1 billion in a quarter. Key products showed significant growth: Austedo, used for movement disorders, grew 40% to $696 million in quarterly revenue; Ajovy, a migraine treatment, increased 56% to $244 million; and Yescarta, the newest branded drug for schizophrenia, rose 43% to $77 million.
Following these strong results, Teva raised its full-year revenue forecast for its three main branded drugs to $3.7 billion, reflecting a 17% annual growth. This performance underscores the successful execution of CEO Richard Francis's growth strategy, which focuses on expanding the company's branded drug portfolio while reducing reliance on generic medications.
