Young First-Time Voters in Israel Focus on West Bank Conflict and Public Transport in Upcoming Election

On October 27, approximately 640,000 Israeli youth aged 18 to 22 will vote for the first time, representing an electoral power equivalent to 15 to 17 Knesset seats. In a tightly contested election where the margin between political blocs is expected to be just a few seats, these young voters could decisively influence who becomes prime minister and the composition of the next coalition government.

The concerns and priorities of these first-time voters were discussed in the second episode of "The Next Voice," a youth election podcast produced by Walla. Participants included Israel Klar from the Religious Zionism party, Mark Ben Michalson from Yisrael Beiteinu, and Gabriella Troan from the Democrats. They debated key issues such as the ongoing tensions in the West Bank, public transportation on Shabbat, and other topics shaping the upcoming elections.
