Iran Considers Ballistic Missile Strike on Ukraine After Cargo Ship Attack

A new crisis nearly sparked a broad conflict between Iran and Ukraine after Tehran considered a rare military response involving a ballistic missile strike on a Ukrainian port. The potential retaliation was prompted by a Ukrainian attack on an Iranian commercial cargo ship in the Caspian Sea on a recent Saturday, which resulted in the death of a civilian crew member.
