Israeli Youth Basketball Stars David Mossis and Aviv Aronov Lead Team Toward Historic European Championship Win

The Israeli national youth basketball team is gaining significant attention across Europe thanks to the outstanding performances of David Mossis and Aviv Aronov in the European Championship. Both players were named among the "Top Ten Players of the Group Stage" by FIBA, which highlighted Israel's potential not only to reach the podium for the first time in history but also to win the tournament.

David Mossis, an 18-year-old center standing 2.11 meters tall, is averaging 24 points, 12 rebounds, and 1.7 blocks per game. He ranks second in scoring, leads the tournament in rebounds, and is among the top ten shot blockers. FIBA praised his dominance under the basket, ability to finish plays in the paint, shot-blocking skills, and his threat from mid-range, making him a strong candidate for the tournament MVP.

Aviv Aronov, also 18 and 1.95 meters tall, shines with averages of 26.7 points, 5.3 rebounds, and 3.7 assists per game. He started the tournament strongly with back-to-back games scoring over 30 points against Greece and France. Aronov, a guard for Eastern Michigan University, currently leads the tournament in scoring and has demonstrated a wide range of offensive skills.

With Israel maintaining a perfect record so far, the performances of Mossis and Aronov have positioned the team as serious contenders for the European youth basketball title in Trento.
