Israeli Forces Destroy Underground Rockets Aimed at Central Israel Near Gaza's Border

Israeli military forces recently discovered and destroyed an underground stockpile of rockets in northern Gaza Strip, which were aimed at central Israel and capable of long-range attacks. This operation took place near the Gaza border, known as the "Yellow Line." A security official confirmed that despite the destruction, Hamas still retains several long-range rockets.

The military continues its complex mission to clear the area of rocket launchers and explosives left behind, often found in civilian areas or near homes of terror operatives, reflecting Hamas's tactic of embedding military assets within civilian populations. This discovery is part of ongoing efforts by Hamas to rebuild its military capabilities three years after the October 2021 conflict.

In parallel, Israeli forces have been actively targeting and eliminating senior militants involved in planning terrorist attacks. Just this morning, Muhammad Khalil Muhammad Aslam, commander of the Nukhba unit in Islamic Jihad and involved in the October 7 kidnapping of Israeli civilians, was killed in a precise strike in Khan Yunis. Two days earlier, forces killed Fares Al-Masri, head of Hamas's weapons production unit, and Muhammad Abu Shakian, a Nukhba operative, both involved in advancing terror plans and violating the ceasefire agreement.
