Maccabi Haifa's Omri Glazer Injured in Toto Cup Match Against Hapoel Haifa

Omri Glazer, who recently rejoined Maccabi Haifa on a three-year contract, suffered a knee injury during a Toto Cup match against Hapoel Haifa on Tuesday. The injury occurred in the 22nd minute after a collision with teammate Tsunami, forcing Glazer to leave the field in tears. Shortly after, Amado Sanya of Ironi Kiryat Shmona capitalized on the situation to score, putting his team ahead 2-0. Tsunami also left the game due to a head injury sustained in the same incident.

Glazer, 30, returned to Maccabi Haifa with a salary of approximately 400,000 euros per season, while goalkeeper Georgi Yermakov finalized his terms with Metalist Kharkiv. Despite the injury, Maccabi Haifa plans to strengthen their squad by signing another goalkeeper, with Omri Nir-On from Maccabi Netanya among the targets. In the meantime, youth team goalkeeper Glen Alwin replaced Glazer in the match.

The club and fans are hoping for Glazer's swift recovery as they continue their preparations for the upcoming season.
