Trump Downplays Mount Hermon Issue, Says Netanyahu Wants Him Involved
In an interview with Fox News, U.S. President Donald Trump described the situation regarding Mount Hermon as "not a big problem." When asked about Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's expected discussions with him on the matter, Trump stated that Netanyahu talks to him mainly to keep him involved. Trump said, "I don't need him to tell me that. We know exactly what's happening there. I heard Bibi declare it. I said, 'Why don't you just tell me privately, why announce it to the world?'" Trump also expressed a preference to avoid attacking power stations and bridges in the region.
