Dozens of Yeshiva Students Take First 'Tzurba Yoreh Halachic' Certification Exam in Jerusalem

For the first time, dozens of yeshiva students participated in the new certification exam "Tzurba Yoreh Halachic" held at the Hurva Synagogue in Jerusalem. The exam is part of the 'Tzurba Merabbanan' halachic program, which covers key areas such as Shabbat, kashrut, and family purity, teaching from original sources through practical application. The "Yoreh Halachic" program was created to equip learners with the skills to make practical halachic decisions in their homes by studying issues from their roots to real-life implementation.

During the exam, participants demonstrated proficiency in the halachic topics studied throughout the course. Rabbi Ben Zion Elgazi, head of the institute, opened the event by blessing the candidates and praising their efforts. He emphasized that the goal is not merely knowledge accumulation but enabling learners to have a clear and living halachic understanding in daily life, turning them into decisors within their own homes.

The leadership of 'Tzurba Merabbanan' expressed satisfaction with the participation and exam results. Due to the program's success, preparations are already underway to launch additional cohorts across Israel.
