Montenegrin Forward Marko Rakonjac Nears Move to Maccabi Petah Tikva
Marko Rakonjac, a Montenegrin striker, is a leading candidate to join Maccabi Petah Tikva ahead of the new Israeli Premier League season. After spending half a successful season with Hapoel Jerusalem, where he scored two goals in 14 appearances and helped the club avoid relegation, Rakonjac is set to strengthen Maccabi Petah Tikva's attacking line alongside Ziv Arie. The 23-year-old forward has also played for Lokomotiv Moscow and Red Star Belgrade, winning a championship with the latter. Additionally, he has one cap for the Montenegro national team. Maccabi Petah Tikva recently returned to the Israeli top flight after a season outside the Premier League and is looking to reinforce its squad for the upcoming campaign.
