Vegan Festival in Ramat Hasharon Showcases Diverse, Flavorful Plant-Based Cuisine
The vegan festival hosted by the home-based deli-catering service "Riotot VeTaamim" will take place on July 30-31 at their branches in Ramat Hasharon and Netanya, as well as online. The event responds to growing demand from customers seeking vegan meals that do not compromise on taste, creativity, or overall dining experience. Owner Limor Oren explained that the goal was to create a menu beyond mere substitutes, offering beloved dishes and bold culinary ideas to demonstrate the richness and variety of vegan cuisine.
The festival features an array of flavorful dishes inspired by global cuisines, including eggplant in cashew cream with Indian spices, vegan meatballs that appealed to picky children, and a vegan Bolognese sauce. Other highlights include Thai-spiced vegan chicken pieces, lasagna, and a chickpea and chard stew reminiscent of Middle Eastern flavors. The standout dish was a vegan chicken in Bamba sauce, praised for its taste and originality.
Desserts also impressed, particularly a biscuit cake free from heavy dairy substitutes. The festival aims to delight both vegans and those open to plant-based eating, with children reportedly enjoying the meals without realizing they were vegan. The event celebrates the culinary diversity and rich flavors of vegan food, offering a unique experience for all attendees.
