Israel Advances to Women's Lacrosse World Championship Quarterfinals with Perfect Group Stage

The Israeli women's lacrosse team secured a spot in the quarterfinals of the World Lacrosse Championship by finishing first in their group. They achieved a flawless group stage record with three wins, including a notable 11-9 victory over the strong host nation, Japan. Earlier in the group stage, Israel also defeated the Philippines 12-6 and the Czech Republic 20-8.

The quarterfinal match is scheduled for Wednesday, where Israel is expected to face a formidable Australian team, depending on the final results of the other group. Having recently won the European Championship in box lacrosse held in the Czech Republic, the Israeli team aims to continue their impressive run and make history by winning the World Championship.

Ian Kadish, CEO of the Lacrosse Association and head of the Israeli delegation, expressed pride in the players' resilience and spirit, calling the victory unforgettable for Israeli lacrosse.
