Ra'am Leader Mansour Abbas Calls for Civil Service Framework Addressing Arab Youth Needs
Mansour Abbas, chairman of the Ra'am party, spoke at the Ynet and Yedioth Ahronoth National Security Conference in collaboration with the Institute for National Security Studies (INSS). During a conversation with Ofer Shelah, Abbas reaffirmed his stance on Israel as a Jewish and democratic state, stating there is no dispute over this identity. However, he emphasized the importance of defining the status of Arab citizens within the state.
Abbas called for equal status for Arab citizens and expressed his desire to be a partner in serving all Israeli citizens. Regarding the issue of civil service, he highlighted the need for a framework that meets the specific needs of Arab youth while also aligning with the expectations of the broader Israeli society.
