On Sunday afternoon, Israeli President Isaac Herzog spoke with Bahrain's King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa in a phone call initiated by the Bahraini side. In a notable and courageous move, the king requested that the conversation be publicly disclosed, marking the first such announcement in years amid heightened tensions in the Gulf region. The two leaders had also spoken the previous week.

According to reports from Bahrain, the discussion focused on regional developments and bilateral relations under the Abraham Accords framework. Herzog emphasized the importance of these accords, led by the United States, in promoting security, stability, and prosperity throughout the Middle East.
