Channel 14 suffers a ratings slide as 'The Patriots' drops to fourth
A surprising shift in Thursday night’s Israeli TV ratings saw Channel 14’s flagship program, "The Patriots," slump sharply and fall to fourth place in its time slot. The show, which usually leads the slot against competitors from Reshet 13 and Kan 11, recorded only 5.5% viewership, a notably weak result even after efforts to refresh the panel and boost interest.
The downturn came despite the addition of new panelist Avishai Ben Haim, who also failed to stop the audience drop. Keshet 12 dominated the slot with "First Dates" drawing 13.8%. In second place was Kan 11’s "World Cup Studio" with 7%, followed by Omri Assenheim’s investigative program on Reshet 13 with 6.1%, which edged out "The Patriots."
The evening’s main news broadcasts showed a similar pattern. Keshet 12’s flagship news bulletin remained far ahead with 12.4% viewership. Channel 14’s news edition held second place, but with a weak 6.2%, a result that suggested broader erosion across the channel’s evening performance.
Among the other news programs, Channel 13’s bulletin ranked third with 4.3%, Kan 11’s news came fourth with 3.7%, and i24NEWS finished last with 0.9%.
