Makova Rabbi Leads Hours of Mourning and Prayer on Tisha B'Av in Kiryat Ata

On Tisha B'Av, the Makova Hasidic Rabbi and head of the rabbinical court (Gaavad) held a solemn mourning session at his study hall in Kiryat Ata, commemorating the destruction of the Holy Temple. As is tradition, he delivered an extended stirring discourse to awaken the community's spirit. Following the lamentations, the Hasidim sang heartfelt songs expressing their yearning for redemption.

After the prayers and songs, the Gaavad visited the gravesite of his late father in the city cemetery, where he prayed for both communal and personal salvation. The event was documented by Shuki Lerer, who traveled from Bnei Brak to capture these spiritually uplifting moments under the sacred atmosphere.

This annual gathering reflects the deep reverence and mourning observed by the Makova Hasidic community on Tisha B'Av, a day dedicated to remembering the destruction of the Jewish Temples and praying for future redemption.
