Silva was warmly welcomed at Ben Gurion Airport by enthusiastic fans and his close friend Ilai Barzilai, an Israeli fighter preparing for a bout against former UFC competitor Lucas Almeida at the Menora Mivtachim Arena on Monday. Silva came specifically to support Barzilai and expressed excitement about being in Israel, calling the visit a dream come true.

In an exclusive interview with Sport 5, Silva shared his focus on Barzilai's upcoming fight and praised the warm reception he received, including the unique "barking" greeting that is his signature. He also spoke about his connection with Barzilai, explaining that they became close friends after training together and that he sees great potential in Barzilai to become a star in Israel's fighting scene. Silva emphasized his commitment to helping Barzilai reach the UFC level.

The fight has been surrounded by controversy as Barzilai's opponent, Lucas Almeida, arrived overweight and is still attempting to cut weight. Silva criticized Almeida's professionalism, noting this as a reason for his UFC release, but acknowledged Almeida's experience and skill. Silva expressed confidence that Barzilai will win by knockout.
