Yair Golan launches Arabic-language campaign targeting Israel's Arab voters
Yair Golan, the leader of The Democrats, launched a new Arabic-language Facebook page aimed at Arab citizens in Israel as part of his party’s preparations for the next Knesset election. In a video posted to the page, he warned Arab voters that what he described as the government’s incitement against them stems from political fear.
Addressing Arab citizens directly, Golan said, “I have a message for you, Arab citizens of Israel. The incitement campaign against you is happening for only one reason, they are afraid. They are afraid of you.” He argued that the government fears the Arab public’s electoral power and is trying to lower turnout. “This government knows you have power. It knows that Jewish-Arab partnership is its end, and they will do everything to scare you and prevent you from going to the polls, prevent you from voting,” he said.
Golan presented Jewish-Arab partnership as the basis for replacing the current government. He said, “We will not let them. We will send home the government of failure and destruction of Netanyahu, Ben Gvir and Smotrich together. Our future is shared. There is no other future.” He ended by urging cooperation between Jews and Arabs ahead of the election, saying they would work together to build a better future and that “in the next election we will win.”
