Military Correspondent Criticizes West Bank Security Forces for Neglecting Arab Terror Threats

Following a severe stabbing attack near the West Bank settlement of Elon Moreh, where a settler was critically injured and two assailants were killed, military correspondent Hillel Biton Rosen sharply criticized the security forces' handling of terrorism in the region. The attack occurred after the terrorists attempted a deception by setting fire near the Abraham Path farm close to Nablus, then stabbing the settler who responded to the scene. Biton Rosen questioned whether enough is being done to prevent Arab terrorism in Judea and Samaria, asserting that the answer is likely no. He accused the Shin Bet, Central Command, and the Judea and Samaria police district of focusing excessively on Jewish civilians rather than on the Arab terror threat. He warned that unless Israeli forces proactively confront terrorists in their homes, the violence will continue to reach settlers in their own homes and farms. The injured settler, a 50-year-old owner of the "Itamar Farm," was evacuated by helicopter to a hospital in serious but stable condition. The two attackers were neutralized by Rabbi Shatz, who opened fire during the incident.
