Resident of West Bank's Givat Gilad Shares Spiritual Message After Devastating Fire Destroys His Home

Days after a massive fire swept through Givat Gilad in the West Bank, destroying numerous homes and leaving 113 residents homeless, local resident Aryeh Lipo spoke about his personal experience and the spiritual insight he gained from the tragedy. Lipo, who recently returned to Givat Gilad from Ra'anana, described watching the fire engulf his home from his balcony. Despite the loss, he found a sense of spiritual connection, recalling a recent family event where his daughter gifted a macrame of the Temple, which they hung just minutes before the fire.

Lipo expressed a profound feeling of shared loss with the divine, saying, "The house of the Holy One has been burning for 2,000 years," referring to the destruction of the ancient Temple. He called on the community to unite and contribute to rebuilding efforts, urging everyone to donate and help restore the sacred site and the settlement.

The fire caused severe damage, completely destroying 15 homes and partially damaging about ten others. Residents have launched fundraising and recovery initiatives, providing emotional and financial support to those affected. Another resident, Yael Shevah, attributed the fire to strong winds. Meanwhile, police arrested two Palestinians suspected of starting the fire by discarding a cigarette, though locals maintain the fire was deliberately set.
