Israeli Teens Lead Effort to Break School Boycotts and Promote Inclusion

In the second installment of the "Taking Off the Gloves" series, in collaboration with Mizrahi Tefahot Bank and R.G.E, former Ninja Warrior star Shneor Samech meets three 16-year-old volunteers from the "Adam LeAdam Ze Lev" organization who work to dismantle social boycotts in schools. Alon De Leon, Roy Hess, and Omer Sela, all high school juniors and youth leaders, enter classrooms unannounced to engage students who ostracize others, those who are ostracized, and bystanders, aiming to foster cooperation and inclusion.

Their youth is a key advantage, allowing them to connect with peers more effectively than teachers. They identify socially isolated students quickly and use shared interests, such as soccer, to bridge gaps and integrate them into the class. The volunteers emphasize the importance of stepping in rather than standing by, encouraging students to support those facing exclusion despite social risks.

Shneor Samech, who overcame his own struggles growing up in a Haredi boarding school, praises their courage and impact. He shares a message of hope for isolated children, reminding them that difficult times pass and that taking initiative is crucial. The project, supported by Mizrahi Tefahot Bank, culminates in a major event on July 27 at Tel Aviv Port, aiming to amplify youth voices and promote social change.
