President Herzog Warns of Internal and External Threats to Election Integrity

Israeli President Isaac Herzog addressed the media, emphasizing that elections should not be viewed as a civil war. He revealed that about two weeks ago, he met with Noam Solberg, Chair of the Central Elections Committee and Deputy President of the Supreme Court, along with Shin Bet head David Zini. During the meeting, they discussed various threats to the integrity of the elections, both from within Israel and from external sources. Herzog stated that they presented a united front on the issue and committed to providing full support and backing to the Central Elections Committee as well as all security and law enforcement agencies. He acknowledged the current period of political division and expressed concern over recent dangerous incidents of violence occurring in multiple locations across the country.
