Israeli Basketball Federation Chief Criticizes National Team's Recent Performance as 'Embarrassing'

Frishman revealed that following the window, he convened a lengthy meeting to address the issues and promised to prevent similar problems in the future. He also shared that he received hundreds of messages from soldiers who felt let down by the team's performance.

Moti Daniel, the team manager, echoed the criticism, acknowledging the pressures on players but stressing that representing the national team requires sacrifice. He stated that while he understands the challenges, he expects more commitment from the players, noting that his role is not to pursue them to join the team. Both officials highlighted the importance of national pride and the unique responsibility of representing Israel in sports.

The remarks come amid growing scrutiny of the national basketball team's management and player availability during international competitions, with calls for improved coordination and dedication ahead of future tournaments.
