Hundreds of Gur Hasidim Protest Outside Israeli Attorney General's Home Over Yeshiva Student's Arrest

Following a massive protest held the previous evening outside Prison 10 involving thousands of Gur Hasidim led by their Rebbe, the demonstrations continued late into the night. Hundreds of Gur Hasidim gathered outside the home of Israel's Attorney General, Gali Baharav-Miara, in Tel Aviv to protest the arrest of yeshiva student Israel Yehuda Fein. The protesters marched through nearby streets, chanting protest songs and slogans against the Attorney General. They carried signs stating, "No Torah student is abandoned" and "Whoever disgraces Torah scholars has no share in the world to come." The protest included chants repeating the latter phrase.

Initially, the Gur community planned a large-scale demonstration at the Attorney General's residence, but due to earlier crowding and incidents at the Prison 10 rally, organizers decided to reduce the event's scale. Nevertheless, hundreds still showed up and the protest extended into the night. Some isolated clashes occurred between protesters and passersby during the demonstration. The protests reflect the community's strong opposition to the legal actions taken against their members, particularly the recent arrest of Fein.
