Vivian Eisen Appointed Israeli Ambassador to Colombia as Diplomatic Ties Renew

The Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced the appointment of Vivian Eisen as Israel's new ambassador to Colombia. This decision was made by the committee responsible for appointing heads of diplomatic missions abroad. Currently, Eisen serves as Israel's ambassador to North Macedonia.

The appointment follows recent diplomatic engagements, including a conversation between Israeli Foreign Minister Gadi Eizenkot and Colombia's president-elect, Abelardo de la Espriella, as well as a meeting with Colombia's incoming foreign minister. These discussions led to an agreement to renew diplomatic relations between Israel and Colombia after the inauguration of the new Colombian president on August 7.

The renewal of ties will include the exchange of ambassadors, the opening of a Colombian embassy in Jerusalem, and an expansion of bilateral cooperation between the two countries. This marks a significant step in strengthening Israel-Colombia relations.
