Two New York Synagogues Vandalized with Motor Oil and Feces in Hate Crime Attack

Between Thursday and Friday, two synagogues in New York were vandalized with motor oil and feces, incidents condemned as manifestations of ongoing hatred against the Jewish community. Nily Rozic, a New York State Assembly member representing parts of eastern Queens and an American-Israeli, denounced the attacks, calling them "another outrageous example of the persistent hatred our community faces." The New York Police Department confirmed that a suspect threw a bag of motor oil on the facade of one synagogue in Queens. The location of the second synagogue was not disclosed. The police received notification of the incident on Friday afternoon, and the NYPD's hate crimes unit is currently investigating the case.
