Rabbi Avraham Zarviv Highlights Preparations to Reestablish Jewish Communities in Gush Katif

Rabbi Avraham Zarviv, a dayan (rabbinical judge), recently visited the Gush Katif Museum in Jerusalem where he was honored with the "Yakir HaGush" (Distinguished of the Bloc) award. During his visit, Zarviv emphasized the community's ongoing commitment to returning Jewish residents to Gush Katif, a former settlement bloc in Gaza.

He stated, "We remembered Jerusalem and remember Gush Katif, and therefore we are returning to Jerusalem and to Gush Katif, which is now at the closest stage to resettlement." Zarviv highlighted the extensive groundwork already completed, saying, "We plowed it, leveled it, and prepared it for building the foundations of beautiful and magnificent communities, yeshivas, girls' seminaries, Talmud Torah schools, extensive agriculture, and a strong establishment of love for the land."

His remarks reflect a hopeful vision for the revival of Jewish life in Gush Katif, underscoring the cultural and religious significance of the area and the preparations made to facilitate its resettlement.
