Many users were unable to log in, while others experienced problems loading content, delayed updates, and difficulties uploading photos and videos. On desktop, some users saw messages indicating their accounts were temporarily unavailable due to site issues, with a suggestion to try again shortly. Messenger also faced message-sending problems. The mobile apps partially functioned for some users despite desktop issues. Reports from outage tracking sites confirmed the disruption was broad and not limited to specific internet providers or devices, though the exact scope remains unclear.

Meta has not yet issued an official statement explaining the cause or when full service will resume. Users are advised there is no need to change passwords or recover accounts solely based on the error messages, as these do not necessarily indicate account breaches, blocks, or deletions. As of the report time, some users regained partial access via mobile apps, while others continued to face issues on the website and in news feeds and messaging services.
