Organs of 4-Year-Old Arbel Ori Hoffman Save Four Lives After Fatal Accident

Arbel Ori Hoffman, a 4-year-old girl from the Tekuma settlement who died in a car accident last week, donated her organs to save four people. Her liver was transplanted into a 10-year-old child, while her two kidneys were given to 14-year-olds. Following the liver transplant, doctors performed a rare "domino" liver transplant, which occurs only once every few years. The 10-year-old recipient suffers from a metabolic disease, and the transplanted liver was unsuitable for long-term function, so it was removed and transplanted into a 44-year-old woman at Beilinson Hospital. Thus, Arbel's donation directly saved three lives and indirectly helped a fourth through the domino procedure. Arbel's parents, Yaakov and Hila, said, "She always sought to help others, to give, and to share endless love."
