Four-Year-Old Arbel Hoffman Dies After Highway 6 Crash, Family Donates Her Organs
Arbel Uri Hoffman, a four-year-old girl from the Tekuma moshav in southern Israel, died on Wednesday from injuries sustained in a severe accident on Highway 6 last Friday. Her six-year-old brother was moderately injured in the same crash. The parents decided to donate Arbel's organs. Arbel's mother, Hila Hoffman, expressed her grief on social media, writing, "Our light has gone out. Our sunshine, please send us comfort and strength from above. We love you beyond eternity."
The accident occurred between the Shorashim and Kiryat Gat interchanges. In addition to Arbel and her brother, a man in his mid-30s was moderately injured, and ten others sustained minor injuries. The Shdot Negev Regional Council stated that the Tekuma community and council professionals had supported the Hoffman family with prayers and hope for Arbel's recovery in recent days, but sadly her death was confirmed on Wednesday.
Arbel's funeral is scheduled for today, with eulogies at 5 p.m. at the central synagogue plaza in Tekuma, followed by burial at the local cemetery.
