Bennett and Lapid Unite Operationally Ahead of Israel’s 26th Knesset Elections

Following the dissolution of Israel’s 25th Knesset, the joint political list "Together," formed by Naftali Bennett and Yair Lapid, is moving towards a closer and more practical collaboration between its two factions. According to political reporter Anna Barsky from Maariv, sources within the Yesh Atid party explain that while the Knesset was active, the alliance remained largely theoretical, with limited practical cooperation.

During the previous parliamentary term, Yesh Atid members focused their efforts inside the Knesset committees and plenary sessions, whereas Bennett’s faction, "Bennett 2026," which lacked parliamentary representation, concentrated on building public and political activity outside the Knesset. This division created parallel, separate work tracks that hindered deep cooperation.

Now, with the official start of the campaign for the 26th Knesset elections, the joint list aims to transform its political framework into a unified election campaign headquarters. This will involve daily close coordination between Bennett’s and Lapid’s teams. The main challenge for the "Together" party is to translate the leaders’ agreement into a single operational system that works cohesively in the field, develops unified messaging, and manages a well-coordinated election campaign.

Although the allocation of Knesset seats on the list has already been finalized between the two sides, integrating activists, local campaign offices, and organizational structures requires complex work. The dissolution of the Knesset has ended the previous structural separation, and all members are now expected to operate together on the same political stage as they head into the voter decision period.
