Naftali Bennett and Yair Lapid held an urgent meeting on Thursday with all Yesh Atid Knesset members and Bennett’s candidates at their joint headquarters in Ra’anana, amid falling poll numbers and reports of internal splits. The gathering was reported by Shahar Glick on Kan News.
According to the report, the participants were briefed on the party’s planned campaign strategy, its digital operation, and additional organizational matters. The meeting came after a Kan News poll published on Tuesday showed the Bennett-Lapid alliance dropping sharply from 23 seats to 17 compared with the previous survey.
The same poll also showed that Gideon Sa’ar, Yair Lapid’s political rival in the wider race, gained four seats and overtook “Beyachad” with 21 seats. The poll’s seat map, with numbers from the earlier June 4 survey in parentheses, showed Likud at 23 (24), Beyachad at 17 (23), Yesh Atid at 21 (17), Yisrael Beytenu at 10 (8), Otzma Yehudit at 9 (10), The Democrats at 9 (9), Shas at 9 (8), United Torah Judaism at 7 (7), Hadash-Ta’al at 7 (6), Religious Zionism at 4 (4), and Ra’am at 4 (4).
