Survey Shows Democrats Party as Leading Voice for Secular-Liberal Left in Israel
A recent News 14 poll reveals public opinion on several political and social issues in Israel, highlighting the Democrats party as the primary representative of the secular-liberal left. Nearly half of respondents (48%) identified the Democrats, led by Yair Golan, as the party most aligned with this political segment, followed by Yisrael with 29%, Yachad with 7%, Arab parties with 3%, and 13% choosing other options.
The survey also found strong public support for establishing settlements in northern Gaza, with 66% in favor, 27% opposed, and 7% undecided. Additionally, 73% of respondents backed the recently signed memorandum of understanding between Israel and the Lebanese government, while 12% opposed it and 15% had no opinion.
On a lighter note, the poll included a sports question about the FIFA World Cup final, where 64% predicted Argentina would win, 4% favored Spain, and 32% were undecided. The survey provides a snapshot of current Israeli public attitudes on key political, security, and cultural issues.
