The 2026 World Cup is getting underway, and C14's social media team went out to check who, in the channel's view, will lift the World Cup trophy. Along the way, there were surprising and amusing choices, from Yinon Magal to a fantasy about the Israel national team. The full predictions are inside.
The opening match of the 2026 World Cup is about to kick off: the summer tournament spans three countries, Mexico, the United States and Canada, and for the first time in history includes 48 teams. C14's social media team set out to ask the channel's hosts and reporters who their big winner of the summer will be.

Our military commentator Noam Amir believes Ronaldo and Portugal will lift the World Cup after five unsuccessful attempts. Our Iran affairs correspondent Dror Balazade thought that one of the favorites, England or France, will win the World Cup. We also asked host Shimon Riklin, who replied that Israel is the one that will win, but unfortunately we have not qualified for the tournament for 56 years.
Yinon Magal's choice
Patriots host Yinon Magal first chose Beitar Jerusalem, which of course is not in the tournament, and with Fleishman's help said that in his opinion England will win. Political correspondent Moti Kastel thought Spain would win. Host Yaara Zard wants Messi to complete a second consecutive victory.

The same is true of the Arabs desk chief, Omri Chaim. Yaki Admaker, a panelist on Patriots, is going with the English. And unlike everyone else, panelist Guy Maroz picked Germany.
