Telegram Launches Communities Feature and Advanced Text Editor in Latest Update
Telegram has introduced a significant update focused on enhancing group, channel, and content management on its platform. The new Communities feature allows users to consolidate multiple groups, channels, and bots under a single umbrella, enabling community members to navigate between them seamlessly without separate invitation links.
Premium subscribers gain access to a rich text editor that supports composing long messages, articles, and blogs with formatting options such as headings, tables, lists, quotes, code, images, and videos embedded within the message body. Additionally, the update improves bot interactions in groups by allowing bots to send private messages visible only to the user who activated them, reducing clutter for other group members.
Telegram also upgraded its sticker and GIF search functionality, providing access to a database of over 350 million stickers in 36 languages. The Communities feature, private bot messages, and enhanced search are available to all users, while the advanced text editor remains exclusive to Telegram Premium subscribers.
