Mizkeret Batya and Konin Win Israeli Artistic Swimming Championship
The 2026 Israeli Artistic Swimming "Arena" Championship concluded on July 15 at the Wingate Institute pool, featuring a tight competition for the national senior cup. Mizkeret Batya retained the senior cup with 103 points, narrowly beating Maccabi Tel Aviv by just two points, a significant closing of the gap from last year's 31-point difference. Hapoel Jerusalem secured third place with 88 points.
In the solo routines, Kati Konin from Hapoel Jerusalem delivered a dominant performance, winning gold with 231.2763 points, a large margin ahead of the runner-up. Yogev Dagan from Mizkeret Batya, the only male competitor in the category, earned second place with 195.0625 points, ahead of Noya Tzarfati from Maccabi Tel Aviv.
Konin also won gold in the duet event alongside Noga Levi, scoring 240.4263 points. The Mizkeret Batya duet of Ayah Mazor and Shaya Shar Shalom took second place, while Maccabi Tel Aviv's Noa Kagan and Noya Tzarfati finished third. Notably, Konin and Mazor are the current Israeli national duet team.
Mizkeret Batya added two more gold medals: one in the duet (Mazor and Shar Shalom) and another in the group acrobatic routine with 164.9625 points, well ahead of Maccabi Tel Aviv and Artswim. Maccabi Tel Aviv won gold in the group routine with 146.0160 points, followed by Hapoel Jerusalem and Artswim. Maccabi Tel Aviv is showing growth, recently contributing three swimmers to the Israeli national team. The upcoming season will reveal if they can maintain momentum and challenge Mizkeret Batya's dominance.
