Israel Faces Extreme Heat Warnings Ahead of Hot Sabbath
The Israeli Meteorological Service has issued multiple heat warnings across the country ahead of the Sabbath. On Thursday, after morning clouds clear, the weather will remain mostly stable with no significant temperature changes. However, extreme heat alerts are in effect for several regions: a red warning for heat stress in the Beit She'an Valley, the Kinneret Basin, and the Jordan Valley; an orange warning for the northern and southern Dead Sea areas and the Arava; and yellow warnings for the southern Golan Heights, Jezreel Valley, southern Shfela, northern and southern Negev, and the Eilat mountains.
Friday's forecast predicts similar conditions with clear skies after morning clouds and stable temperatures. On Saturday, temperatures are expected to rise slightly with increased heat stress felt across most parts of Israel. Specific temperature forecasts for Thursday night and Friday include Jerusalem at 21-31°C, Tel Aviv 22-30°C, Be'er Sheva 20-34°C, Haifa 23-29°C, Tiberias 25-36°C, Safed 20-30°C, and Eilat 28-40°C.
Residents are advised to prepare for the intensifying heat, especially in the valleys and desert regions where the warnings are most severe. The Meteorological Service's alerts aim to help the public take necessary precautions during this period of extreme heat.
