International Educational Leadership Program Joins Israel's Ministry of Education Approved Curriculum
The internationally acclaimed educational program developed by Batya Vegeshel, which has impacted over 30 countries, has now been officially integrated into Israel's Ministry of Education's approved programs through the 'Gefen' system. This adaptation targets school staff, including principals, counselors, and teachers, offering them advanced tools to address daily challenges such as student discipline, bullying, and complex parent-teacher dynamics.
The program, named "Growing Leadership," was adapted professionally to meet the needs of educational teams and is now state-funded, allowing school leaders to implement it with government support. It aims to combat teacher burnout by strengthening educators' sense of value, authority, and internal motivation, enabling them to manage classrooms effectively and foster positive communication with parents.
Structured as six experiential monthly sessions combined with ongoing personalized support, internal mentor training, and a concluding seminar, the program addresses core issues like establishing respectful discipline, understanding classroom social roles, building meaningful student relationships, and transforming parent-school interactions from conflict to cooperation.
School leaders who adopt the program through the Gefen system can expect immediate improvements, including reduced disciplinary problems, fewer conflicts, enhanced school climate, and a more resilient, motivated teaching staff. The initiative seeks to shift education from crisis management to cultivating leadership and sustainable positive change within schools.
