Batya Vegeshel's Educational Leadership Program Joins Israel's Ministry of Education 'Gefen' System
Batya Vegeshel, a leading parent and staff facilitator known for her impact in over 30 countries, has launched the "Growing Leadership" program tailored for educational teams. Recently approved for full funding within the Israeli Ministry of Education's 'Gefen' system, this program offers a comprehensive solution to challenges such as discipline, burnout, and school climate, moving beyond temporary fixes.
The program's expansion into schools came after numerous educators who experienced it as parents urged Vegeshel to adapt it for teachers and administrators. It equips educators with foundational tools to manage classrooms effectively, address students with special needs, and foster constructive communication with parents. A central aim is to strengthen educators' sense of connection, belonging, and intrinsic motivation within their institutions.
Recognizing the daily pressures on teachers, including disciplinary issues, complex social dynamics, and unrealistic parental expectations, the program addresses these core pain points by rebuilding educational authority and leadership. It emphasizes the importance of self-worth in setting boundaries and maintaining natural authority without conflict, while also promoting positive classroom dynamics and parental partnerships.
The holistic program includes six experiential monthly sessions combining theory and practice, ongoing personalized professional support, training of internal mentors to sustain leadership, and a concluding seminar to consolidate practical insights. Schools adopting "Growing Leadership" through the 'Gefen' system receive state funding, enabling long-term improvements such as reduced disciplinary problems, fewer conflicts, enhanced school atmosphere, and a resilient, motivated teaching staff.
