Police spokesperson at Haredi protest site: "They have every right to demonstrate"

The police said that Highway 4 was closed to traffic from Em HaMoshavot southbound and from Givat Shmuel northbound, and at the Geha Interchange in both directions, because of Haredi protests. The police also said that "an unlawful demonstration is taking place at the Geha Interchange, near Bnei Brak. The disruptors are blocking the road."

Chief Inspector Tzachi Kamushvitz, the police district spokesperson, said at the protest hub at the Ben Shemen Interchange on Highway 6, "That is perfectly fine, it is permitted to demonstrate, and when we decide that enough is enough, we will reopen the route. The event is fully under control. Let us not forget, those standing here are citizens of the State of Israel, they have every right to demonstrate."
