Report: Lisav Eissat’s Father in Talks to Buy a Club
A surprising report arrived on Thursday from Romania. Aviv Eissat, the father of Lisav Eissat, is interested in buying UTA Arad from Romania’s top division.
The Romanian outlet GSP reported that the team could qualify for the Conference League playoffs, but its severe financial situation has prevented it from receiving a license to play in Europe. At this stage, Eissat and his partner have held initial talks, and several Romanian politicians are expected to buy the club together with him. Among them are the mayor of Arad, Gheorghe Falcă, and former prime minister Călin Popescu.
The club is expected to cost about 6 million euros at this stage, and it carries significant debts. His son, Lisav Eissat, recently became a player for the Romania national team.
