Bristol City Plans Bid for Romanian Defender Lisav Issat with €2.5 Million Release Clause

Bristol City, an English Championship club, is preparing to submit an offer for Lisav Issat, a central defender for Maccabi Haifa and the Romanian national team. According to a report by Sport Channel, the club is very interested in acquiring Issat and is ready to invest a significant sum. Issat’s release clause is set at 2.5 million euros, which Maccabi Haifa is expected to demand in any transfer negotiations.

Issat recently extended his contract with Maccabi Haifa and has attracted interest from several clubs, but Bristol City currently appears to be the leading contender to sign him. Maccabi Haifa is likely to insist on the full release clause amount, though this is not expected to hinder the deal.

Due to uncertainty about when Elad Amir will be fully available for action, Maccabi Haifa is considering adding another defender in addition to their intention to sign Radinio Balakr. Currently, the squad under coach Barak Bachar includes defenders Sean Goldberg and Noam Shtiefman, the latter entering his first senior season.
