Former Hamas Captive Rom Breslavsky Begins Tattoo Removal Six Months After Release
Rom Breslavsky, an Israeli who was held captive by Hamas in Gaza, has started the process of removing a tattoo from his arm about six months after his miraculous release. In a personal post, Breslavsky opened with a biblical verse forbidding tattoos and expressed deep gratitude for his freedom and survival. He thanked God for the opportunity to remove the tattoo, to be free and happy, to be Jewish, and to no longer be held captive in Gaza.
Breslavsky recalled that during his captivity in the summer, one of the militants forced him to wear a jacket to conceal the tattoo, which he said was the mark that revealed his Jewish identity. Despite the pain involved, he chose to remove the tattoo through laser treatments, motivated by a desire to dedicate himself to serving God. He concluded his message by thanking God for both his captivity and the hardships he endured, emphasizing that these experiences define his Jewish identity and expressing gratitude for reaching this moment of freedom.
