Rom Breslavsky Completes Torah Scroll Started During His Captivity by Hamas

Rom Breslavsky, an Israeli soldier who survived captivity in Gaza under Hamas, has completed writing the final letter of a Torah scroll that was initiated in his honor during his imprisonment. The project was started by Tzachi Amoyal, who dedicated the scroll to Breslavsky's swift return and deliberately left the last letter unwritten until Breslavsky himself could finish it upon his release. Breslavsky shared on social media that Amoyal nearly gave up and wanted to complete the scroll himself but chose to wait for two years until Breslavsky was free. Upon completing the final letter, Breslavsky expressed deep gratitude, saying, "Dad, thank you very much for the privilege of owning a Torah scroll," and celebrated having a Torah scroll bearing his name. The event marked a significant personal and symbolic moment following his captivity.
